The Chargers will reportedly play their home games at the StubHub Center in Carson as they await the completion of a brand-new stadium in Inglewood, which they will share with the Los Angeles Rams beginning in 2019. The organization is also considering a rebrand.
#Chargers rebrand under consideration. Right now games to be played at StubHub Center— Fred Roggin (@FredNBCLA) January 12, 2017
Can confirm the #Chargers will consider rebranding. Won't happen in time for 2017 - if at all - but absolutely under consideration— Vincent Bonsignore (@DailyNewsVinny) January 12, 2017
News broke on Wednesday evening that the Chargers would be leaving San Diego — their home since 1961 — for Los Angeles. A major factor in the franchise's decision to relocate was a failure to secure a new stadium in San Diego, while being presented with the option of moving into a state-of-the-art facility in a much larger market.
For the time being, though, the Chargers will share the 30,000-seat StubHub Center with the LA Galaxy.
