LA Pride March Is Now Being Called The Resist March

This year's parade is being replaced with what they're calling a Resist March. Organizers decided to make the change after seeing the events like the women's march.Founder Brian Pendleton explained, "The LGBT community is lending our gigantic iconic rainbow flag to anyone who feels under threat." This year people of all backgrounds are encouraged to participate in the parade. "Immigrants of any status: Dreamers, women who care about reproductive health, people who don't want to lose the Affordable Care Act, people who want their Muslim friends and family to be able to come into the country," says Pendelton. The Resist march starts at 8am on Sunday at Hollywood and Highland.
