What To Do To Protect Your Pets From The Eclipse

As many people are getting prepared for the eclipse with their protective glasses, some are left wondering, "What about our pets?"

Pet expert Melanie Monteiro spoke with the TODAY show this morning and said animals don't need the same eye protection like we do. She says, "There's really no reason to be concerned about that. Dogs and cats don't normally look up into the sun, so you don't need to get any special eye protection for your pets."

However, it is best to keep pets inside to be on the safe side and to keep them away from large crowds.
