I will admit: this was one of the most FUN and playful interviews I've ever had. I am STILL smiling!
Last weekend, I flew to Vegas to see David Foster's (incredible) show, "An Intimate Evening With David Foster: Hitman Tour" at Wynn Las Vegas. A few hours before the show, I was fortunate enough to sit down with him and his wife, Katharine Mcphee Foster, and chat at Blue Wire Studios located inside the Wynn. (This is a brand new podcast studio and INCREDIBLE space. I'm obsessed with it!)
The reason I enjoyed this interview so much (which I admittedly was a little nervous for- it's DAVID FREAKING FOSTER!) was how incredibly down to earth, personable and FUNNY they both were. You'll see below- they constantly poke fun at each other; yet dote on each other just as much. Plus, David is a very curious person and asked ME several questions as well, including a little stand-up comedy!
We talked about the tour itself, which I saw with my own eyes....is playful, interactive, and involves a variety of INSANELY talented performers, including Pia Toscano, Daniel Emmet, and Martin Nievera. I knew David had written many hits, but watching the show I was BLOWN AWAY at this man's work. We also talked about life as new parents....their 2-year-old son Rennie was actually there with them! We talked about Katharine's KMF Jewelry line, Boop! The Musical, Christmas Songs the album (Volume 2 is coming!) and my favorite question: what's their idea of a "perfect day."
