READ: Hopefully you haven't had to experience this first hand. People have reported to Amazon that their Alexa has been laughing randomly, and it is creepy! Just check out the creepy video below:
So Alexa decided to laugh randomly while I was in the kitchen. Freaked @SnootyJuicer and I out. I thought a kid was laughing behind me. pic.twitter.com/6dblzkiQHp

And Gavin below was going to bed when he heard that random laugh!
Lying in bed about to fall asleep when Alexa on my Amazon Echo Dot lets out a very loud and creepy laugh... there’s a good chance I get murdered tonight.

Imagine hearing that in the middle of the night, or at home alone! But no worries, Amazon is taking care of it! Apparently, Alexa can hear things incorrectly. The command to make Alexa laugh is "Alexa, laugh." That is a simple command that might be heard by Alexa. And if she gets you words wrong from afar, she might start laughing, thinking that is what you said for her to do.
Amazon is now changing the command to "Alexa, can you laugh." Simple, it's a longer command that would be harder to confuse. Hopefully this fixes most of the incidents!
