Steven Spielberg Becomes First Director To Top $10 Billion At Box Office

Congratulations to Steven Spielberg on breaking a new record.

He's the first director to gross $10 billion dollars at the box office. Despite his latest, "Ready Player One", only bringing in $114 million domestically, the "Jaws" and "E.T." director's life time total has been pushed into the stratosphere.

It only makes sense, after only three weeks in theaters, Ready Player One has earned a global total of $475 mil! Steven's other blockbusters like Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull  earned $787 mil, while E.T. grossed $717 mil at the box office. However, his biggest commercial success was  Jurassic Park with $984 mil!!!

It's likely that no one will be dethroning Spielberg, who also brought us "Raiders of the Lost Ark" and "Jurassic Park", any time soon. Peter Jackson, of "Lord Of The Rings" fame, is over $3 billion behind in second place.

What are some of your favorite Spielberg movies?
