McDonald's is officially taking action!
The chain just announced that they will be removing plastic lids from their McFlurry packaging in September.
They also will no longer have plastic containers for their salads.
All salad and main meal options will be served in cardboard containers.
Each cardboard container will contain at least 50 percent recycled content.
These new changes will reduce plastic waste and is a step in the right direction to help with pollution and tackling plastic waste.
