Well, this customer wasn't happy!
A Man from Tennessee sued Popeyes due to the time wasted unsuccessfully trying to win over their Crispy Chicken Sandwich that is now sold out.
He accused the company of false advertising, deceptive business practices by entry to public."
The man's argument was “countless time wasted driving to and from Popeyes. No chicken sandwich. Was told to come back this day – still no sandwich.”
Craig Barr even went on Craigslist paying $24.00 to an employee who said they would hide extra chicken sandwiches for those willing to pay extra.
Barr of course paid the price, but never received his sandwich.
In the complaint, he also mentioned that he damaged his tire and rim while trying to track down the sandwich. He also said he suffered from emotional damage after being humiliated by his friends.
According to Times Free Press, Barr stated “I can’t get happy; I have this sandwich on my mind. I can’t think straight."
Barr is asking for $5,000 in damages but Popeyes didn't respond to these requests.
