Blue Bucket On Halloween Promotes Autism Awareness

If you are handing out candy this year on Halloween, keep this in mind.

Certain colors may stick out to you this year, different than the tradition orange and black jack-o-lantern colors.

If you see a blue bucket, it symbolizes that a child is autistic. Mays and Nicole Howard-Francis are two friends who sons both have autism. This Halloween, they want to send a message by the color of their children's candy bucket.

Howard Francis stated "They may not be able to talk, they may not be able to communicate, they may not even have on a costume because of sensory issues. We just want to make people aware."

Francis also stated that sometimes their kids are left out because of their disability. So this motto is a way to connect them to fit into society in their own unique way.
