If the name Ralf Schmitt rings a bell to you, it's probably because he's best known in South Africa as the choirmaster of the world-famous Ndlovu Youth Choir. What many don't know is that he's also the choirmaster of a private day and boarding school for girls, called Roedean School, located in Parktown, Johannesburg.
The country is currently under a 21-day lockdown. Similar to the U.S., schools are no longer in session and the 6 feet social distancing rule is in place. But this did not stop the choir from beautifully belting their hearts.
While Schmitt was on the piano, the choir virtually sang a moving rendition of Leonard Cohen's noted classic, Hallelujah.
