Naked Eyes' Peter Byrne joins 80's stars for benefit

Pete Byrne of Naked Eyes is reuniting with several co-stars from the 2018 Lost '80s Live tour.

Saturday, Peter will perform from his home studio along with 80’s acts AnimotionNu ShoozWang Chung and A Flock of Seagulls. The virtual show will celebrate and benefit doctors, nurses, first responders and health care workers.

Pete Byrne talked about joining Back to the Basement:"First responders, exactly. I like playing acoustic shows anyway, and so, in lockdown... in my studio, pretty much recording and writing. And I thought, well. this would be fantastic, so, I'm doing a couple, two or three acoustic songs, probably 'Promises, Promises' and I think I'm going to do a couple of new ones as well. So, yeah, it's a great event. I'm going to have a lot of fun doing it."

Naked Eyes broke through in the U.S. with their synthesizer driven remake of "Always Something There to Remind Me." The Burt Bacharach penned classic had been a hit for both R.B. Graves and Dionne Warwick in the U.S.

Peter now calls southern California home. While spending the spring at home, he’s ramped up his creative spirit, and Peter is currently writing and recording several new songs.
