Well this isn't something you see everyday! A rat who sniffs out landmines is being awarded a gold medal for bravery.
The gold medal was awarded for the rat's hard work of detecting and disabling dozens of landmines in his native Cambodia. Magawa is a giant African Pouched Rat who has been trained to sniff out landmines and explosives. He even has record timing! It only takes him 30 minutes or so to sniff out an area of land that would take days to search with a metal detector.
For his great work, he was awarded a mini version of the PDSA Gold Medal for "lifesaving bravery and devotion to duty."
Here's the best part.... he wears the medal around his neck!
