Toys R Us is officially closing its only two stores after a year of highly anticipated relaunch of their brand.
Tru Kids Inc, which bought the retailer, just confirmed that the two locations in New Jersey and Texas that opened back up in late 2019 have just permanently closed due to the pandemic. Tru Kids stated "As a result of Covid-19, we made the strategic decision to pivot our store strategy to new locations and platforms that have better traffic."
The Toys R Us website is still operational and more than 700 stores outside of the United States are still open.
