According to Walgreens senior vice president, Rick Gates, he stated that even though COVID vaccines are hard to come by, that should change by the Spring.
Gates stated “I’d say late March, early April will be the timeline that you’ll have it more broadly across all of our stores across the nation of pharmacies and other places to start vaccinations.”
Walgreens is part of a federal pharmacy program that will ship doses directly to drugstores. The chain plans on starting vaccinations today at some of their stores. All of those pharmacies will only get a limited supply and vaccines will only be available to those who qualify as high priority based on age and medical conditions.
