A North Carolina woman is now facing fraud charges for going on a shopping spree after getting a $150,000 COVID-19 relief loan.

According to prosecutors, Jasmine Clifton obtained the loan for her online clothing retail business, but spent the money on shopping trips to stores like Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus and Louis Vuitton. She now is facing up to 30 years in prison along with fines that are up to $1,000,000. Now, the Office Of Small Business Administration believes billions of dollars in loans were given to fraudulent businesses last year under the CARES Act.

What are your thoughts on this? Do you think she should be spending 30 years in prison?
