Police in Fairfield ended up taking an unexpected detour on Sunday, saving Mother's Day for several local families!
The Fairfield PD tweeted out that they responded to a collision involving a flower delivery driver. Officers then ended up arresting that driver for DUI, but there were bouquets that needed to be delivered for Mother's Day. Instead of leaving families without their flowers, the officers decided to complete the job themselves.
On Twitter they wrote that they hope to get the flowers to their destinations on time and wished everyone a happy Mother's Day!
