As if we needed anymore reason to have another glass of wine, if its going to help me drop some lb's then pour me another glass. Don't think that drinking til your tipsy will get you your dream bod its more too it.

So here is the real question... Does red wine make you skinny?

According to a family planning health organization, red wine makes you skinnier, lowers your blood sugar, and reduces your liver fat.

A Study conducted by Harvard University tracked a group of women for 13 years that drank at least 2 glasses of wine a day. This concluded that the women who drank the two glasses a day we less likely to appear obese. Another study confirms that drinking red wine can also help burn body fat.

An interesting takeaway is that these women who consumed wine were about 70% less likely to be obese.

In another 2015 study conducted by Oregon State's College of Agricultural Studies, researchers found that ellagic acid (which helps your body burn fat) is to blame for your shrinking waistline.

Another study done on mice. A group were given high fat foods as well as a Pinot nior grapes. They found that the mice who ate the grape extract stored less fat and had lower blood sugar than those who didn't have the grape extract.

The researchers went on to say that "ellagic acid retards the growth of fat cells, and slows down the formation of new ones. It also boosts the metabolism of fatty acids in the liver... Burning more fat in the liver improves liver function in overweight people.”

So science now confirms that having that extra glass of red is good for our health and body. It's 5 o'clock somewhere, so yourself another glass.
