If you received the free at-home COVID rapid tests the government sent out by mail a few months ago, it's important to note the expiration date on the boxes has been changed. According to the FDA letter detailing the extension, there's a new way to check the correct expiration date on your COVID tests. This is what you'll need to do:
Find the box of the COVID-19 rapid test (pictured below.)
You will need to look on the back of the box and look for the LOT # (highlighted in picture.)
Enter the lot # on this website: https://ihealthlabs.com/pages/news#expiration
That will give you the correct date of expiration to use the test by.
