84-year-old Ron Williams had an accident at home one day when he slipped and fell coming out of the shower. Unfortunately, he was home alone with no one around except his cat. He lay helplessly for 18 hours on the floor until he remembered a way he could get his cat, Fluffy, to help.
Williams recalled that every time his cell phone would ring, he would say "ring-a-ding," and his cat would pick up on it. So as his last hope, he began saying just that. Within minutes, the cat brought the cell phone to his hand, and he called for help. Had it not been for Williams' proactive thinking to employ his cat to save him, he would not have been alive today. It goes to show that cats are sensitive and can come to our rescue when we use the right tactics.
