Lost Wedding Ring Set on Beach in Houston Found

A Houston couple lost their wedding ring set while on the beach in Galveston, Texas.

Deysi Maldonado said she was visiting Galveston Island with her family when she lost her ring set.

She only realized it hours later after digging through the sand that they were missing from her finger.

Maldonado decided to enlist a Facebook group for metal detecting enthusiasts called the Galveston Island Treasure Hunters Club for help.

Scott and Clyde showed up for the task with their metal detectors to search for the ring, but quickly discovered Maldonado's diamond ring had already been found.

But a couple who had only been at the beach for about 15 minutes spotted a fishing net somewhat buried in the shallow water.

The couple began digging the net out from the sand, and when the boyfriend tossed a handful of shells to the side, he saw a diamond ring fly through the air.

The couple saw the duo using their metal detectors close by and approached them with their discovery.

Apparently, the ring had been buried so deep in the sand that their metal detectors likely wouldn't have found it.

The wedding ring set was later returned safely to Maldonado.
