Right after graduation, Mykale Baker went directly to work at Burger King the same night. The recent graduate heard the fast food chain was getting busy so he drove over and clock in right after the ceremony. Last Thursday a mom set up a surprise GoFundMe to help raise money for Baker's college career. Maria Mendoza's daughter also graduates and wanted to grab a late night snack. She saw his work ethic and said he was so kind, even when working on his own special day. Many donations quickly came in and news outlets were wanting to cover Baker's story. Initially $20,000 was raised but has now grown to $187,000 allowing him to enroll in any college he chooses to pursue. Burger King Foundation granted Baker and Mendoza's daughter with an additional $10,000 scholarship.
