A kitten was rescued in Long Island after calling for help from an underground pipe. Pamela Gallagher heard animal sounds from under her backyard deck and instantly called firefighters for help. The authorities came and discovered the sounds were about 10-15 feet underground. John Debacker is a part of the Long Island Cat and Kitten Solution and played kitten sounds from his phone to lure the lost cat. The now named Piper, crawled out and John was able to reach her with a catch pole. Debacker is trying to determine her mother and siblings are nearby as well. Piper went to NYC Second Chance Rescue and will eventually be put up for adoption.
