A dog is often considered a man's best friend, but in this instance the dog was considered a hero. A man was hiking on Fee Glacier in southern Switzerland when he took a step on a snow bridge and plunged 26 feet into a crevasse. He was immediately stuck in the glacier ice and tried to use a walkie-talkie to call for help. A nearby person heard the call and sent it over to the emergency service but they were unable to find the man in the glacier's surface. Then, one of the rescue specialist spotted movement by the rocks. The long-haired Chihuahua was seen next to the hole where his owner fell which gave rescuer an indicator that the man was nearby. Because of the dog's behavior the rescue crew was able to find the man and save him.
