Best friends rescue young horse from river

Two friends saw a group of horses near the Kananaskis River and needed to act fast. Ava Haddad and Anna Gleig were kayaking when they realized one of horses needed help in the strong current. The two put the foal in the kayak as Gleig quickly held on to the frightened animal while Haddad paddled to shore. Once they got out of the water, they were hoping the herd of horses would return, but they didn't. The friends didn't want to leave the young horse alone so they took him. Throughout this whole process, the animal cooperated and the local First National group was able to find and reunite the foal with his herd.
