If you’re planning on visiting Huntington beach, be alert, as a shark advisory has been issued.
The advisory went out around 11 a.m. after a fisherman almost caught a 7-foot shark off of a pier. The shark was freed after the line of the fishing pole snapped.
The shark is believed to be a young great white. While no one was injured, it’s important to stay safe if you are heading to the beach for the holiday weekend!
