First Amputee Cyclist To Compete In "Race Across America!"

This is SUCH an incredibly, inspiring story! 14 years ago, Andre Kajlich lost both of his legs in a subway accident. Doctors told him there was no WAY he'd ever sit properly- let alone cycle- again. In 2011, Andre lost his father. Around the same time, he purchased a wheelchair bicycle off Craigslist and decided to challenge himself to compete in marathons with it.

Well, here we are....6 years later....and June 14th, Andre will be the first amputee to compete in "Race Across America" using only his hands. Can we say this guy is AMAZING or what?? He's been training every weekend, getting 500 miles in each time. He says whether he succeeds or not is irrelevant; he simply wants to try. Read more of Andre's story HERE.
