If you buy Tyson Foods in bulk, you're probably going to have to toss it. According to CNBC, Tyson Foods recalled more than 2.4 million pounds of ready-to eat-chicken products after it was notified on June 6 that its bread crumbs could contain milk, an undeclared allergen.
Tyson said the recall only applied to food-service customers (including schools who have purchased from Tyson's commercial channels), since these large bulk products cannot be purchased in retail stores. The items were produced and packaged on various dates from August 17, 2016 through January 14, 2017.
While there are currently no reports of illnesses caused by the recalled breaded chicken, consumers are strongly advised to either throw away or return these products.
