LA County Increases Dog Limit To Four Per Household

L.A. County has given dog lovers the good news!

Board of Supervisors have raised the limit of dogs living in a household from 3 to 4. The only way one could have more than the current limit is if they are licensed as an animal facility like a groomer, kennel, or pet shop.

The reason for the increase in the dog limit is to allow more opportunities for dogs to get adopted from shelters.

Supervisor Hilda Solis says, “Our County shelters are home to far too many animals in need of a loving home. With so many dogs currently living in our shelters, individuals who wish to add to their family by adopting an additional dog should be given the opportunity. We hope that families will feel encouraged to allow an additional family member into their loving homes.” (via NBC Los Angeles).
