Woman Cancels Her $30,000 Wedding And Instead Feeds Homeless

25-year-old Sarah Cummins and her now ex-fiancé, Logan Araujo, planned a dream wedding that cost $30,000; however, she called it off a week ago and decided to still have the reception, but for the homeless instead.

Due to non-refundable contracts, Cummins was left with hotel reservations and a 170-people dinner reception. Not wanting it to go to waste, Cummins reached out to multiple homeless shelters and arranged a to have families be picked up by bus so they can enjoy a meal that includes roasted garlic bruschetta, chicken breast with artichokes and Chardonnay cream, goat cheese, bourbon-glazed meatballs, and wedding cake for dessert.

Cummins told the Indy Star, “I will at least have some kind of happy memory to pull from. I’ve worked so many weekends and so much overtime to pay for this, I wanted to make sure it would be the perfect wedding."

Cummins and her mom will be enjoying the honeymoon in the Dominican Republic together as her ex-fiancé transferred his tickets to her.
