Kari Steele is a huge Chargers fan and was thrilled to talk to Pro Bowl Cornerback Casey Hayward and welcome him to Los Angeles! Georgia born and raised, Hayward began his NFL career in 2012 as the Green Bay Packers Cornerback before joining the Chargers last year.
Now based in LA, the Chargers will now call the Stubhub Center in Carson their new home arena.
Beginning on Sunday the Chargers will be entering training camp in Costa Mesa until August 22nd. Practice fields are located at the Jack Hammett Sports Complex. The team will use two of the complex’s six fields for at least 10 years and will also spend about $1 million in upgrades to the fields and stands.
The first game of the regular season kicks off Sunday, September 17th vs. the Miami Dolphins. You can listen to all the Charger games on KFI AM 640 and you can talk about the Chargers on AM 570 LA Sports. Game day will also feature pre-game on KFI AM 640 and AM 570 LA SPORTS!
