Disney Honors Boy Killed By Alligator With Memorial Statue

Disney is making sure 2-year-old Lane Thomas Graves memory lives on.

Walt Disney World just revealed the lighthouse memorial statue honoring the boy, it symbolizes  the Lane Thomas Foundation, a nonprofit established by his family.

Graves was killed by an alligator while playing outside close to the shore of the Seven Seas Lagoon at a Walt Disney World hotel. The statue is near the site of the attack. The gold brick lighthouse has two stars with a plaque that reads, “I’m Lane Thomas; I’m 2.”

His parent's released a statement saying, “We find comfort that so many people continue to remember our sweet boy, Lane, and we believe the lighthouse stands as a beacon of hope and support for families in the depths of despair."
