Bill Nye is suing Disney, claiming the company failed to pay him $9 million in profits for his popular kids show “Bill Nye The Science Guy."
In the lawsuit Nye also accuses Disney for breach of contract and fraud. In 2008, Bill claims Disney paid him $585,000 in back-end profits only to retract it a few months later asking Bill to return $496,000. The legal claim also states Disney wouldn't pay Bill anymore money until the full amount of $496k was paid back.
Bill also called for an audit from Disney and says he was shorted $9.3 million since his deal with Disney began in 1993.
Disney has yet to comment.
