Third Grader Saves Mom Using CPR Technique Learned At School

Third-grader Dimitri Meram saved his mother's life using CPR techniques he learned during a training program for San Diego Unified School District's with the American Heart Association.

According to KUSI news, Dimitri's father was on the phone with 9-1-1 when his son began to perform CPR on his wife and brought her back to life!

The school district teamed up with the American Heart Association last year and have been teaching CPR and AED skills in their classrooms ever since. 

The American Heart Association honored Dimitri with a certificate at his school for his bravery and professionalism.
