Julia Louis-Dreyfus has just announced that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
The actress received her diagnosis the day after the Emmys.
She announced on Twitter today "One in eight women get breast cancer. Today, I'm the one."
Fans were quick to show support on social media stated "Stay strong and keep fighting, we love you."
Her show on HBO, "Veep" sent in the following statement after hearing the news
"Our love and support go out to Julia and her family at this time, We have every confidence she will get through this with her usual tenacity and undaunted spirit, and look forward to her return to health and to HBO for the final season of 'Veep.'"
