If A Butterfly Happens To Fly By You Today, This Is What It Means

In the language of the native Purépecha Indians, the monarch butterfly is called the harvester butterfly, because monarchs appear when it's time to harvest the corn. The Mexican holiday Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos) also occurs when the monarchs appear.

Today is “Dia De Los Muertos”, it means “Day of the dead” and it's being celebrated here in LA, as well as in Mexico. There are beautiful alters at Grand Park outside of LA City Hall and Olvera Street has festivities all day long! While you’re down there, grab an order of those fresh taquitos at “Cielito Lindo” – Olvera’s Street famous taquitos.

Today’s Google Doodle even honored the special day with this:

Speaking of Dia De Los Muertos, Disney-Pixar's newest creation brings this animated film, "Coco" out to theaters. This past weekend in Mexico and the audience can't stop bawling their eyes out over it! It comes out in the US, three weeks from today, on November 22nd - Thanksgiving Day!

The movie was released just in time for the massive Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebrations that are about to begin across Mexico's cemeteries.

As for the United States we won't be able to see the film until November 22nd, but from everyone's reactions so far the wait will be worth it!

Mexicans are using the hashtag #CocoLaPelicula to praise directors Lee Unkrich and Adrian Molina on their work.

They wanted to bring attention to the emotional impact the film left on them.
