Junior Blind Of America With Allison Burdett

Established as the Foundation for the Junior Blind in 1953, Junior Blind's mission is helping children, youth and adults reach their greatest potential.

We offer specialized services for thousands of infants, children, teens and adults at no cost to families. Through programs that offer early intervention, education, recreation, mental health, residential treatment and rehabilitation services, our students learn essential skills to help them maximize their potential and achieve their goals.

Our Mission- Junior Blind ensures that children, youth and adults facing the greatest challenges always have a place to turn.

Our Purpose-We strive for a world in which every child and family can overcome the obstacles they face—a world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Kari Steele sat down with Senior Director of Programs, Allison Burdett to discuss the benefits of having visual impaired workers, the challenges the program faces, and more.
