Fans & Friends Rooting For Neil Diamond After Parkinson's Diagnosis

Legendary performer Neil Diamond announced he is retiring from touring due to his recent diagnosis of Parkinson's disease

Neil wrote on his website, “It is with great reluctance and disappointment that I announce my retirement from concert touring. I have been so honored to bring my shows to the public for the past 50 years. My sincerest apologies to everyone who purchased tickets and were planning to come to the upcoming shows."

His disease may stop him from touring, but Diamond says he still plans to write and record, along with working on other projects.

"You will always have my appreciation for your support and encouragement. This ride has been ‘so good, so good, so good’ thanks to you,” wrote Neil.

Diamond will be celebrating his 77th birthday tomorrow, January 24th, and will be honored at the Grammy Awards Sunday night with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.
