Fan of musicals and music of Huey Lewis and the News?!
Lewis announced that the musical is in the works in a short video that features Jimmy Kimmel who announced that he would be quitting his job to star as Lewis in the Heart of Rock and Roll.
Lewis explained that the show is an original story based on his music.
Heart of Rock and Roll will feature some of Lewis' best known songs, including "The "Power of Love", "Hip to Be Square" and "If This is It"
Huey Lewis and the News became one of the most successful rock bands of the Eighties.
Gordon Greenberg will direct the show. A synopsis of the story has yet to be released along with a premiere date or production schedule.
