Kate Winslet & Leo DiCaprio Reunited To Save Cancer Patient

This may be Kate Winslet's and Leonardo DiCaprio's most amazing collaboration yet.

The two were able to raise enough money through three private dinners with "Jack and Rose" to help UK pregnant woman, Gemma Nuttall, who was diagnosed with an aggressive form of ovarian cancer.

Nuttall originally didn't want to receive treatment because that meant putting her unborn baby's life at risk. At just 26 weeks, she gave birth to her daughter Penelope and underwent chemotherapy and radiation treatment immediately.

She was able to defeat the cervical cancer, however, she now developed brain cancer with multiple tumors and was given six months to live.

The cost was per session was $123,96, so a Gofundme page was set up to help pay the cost. However, the fund page was able caught the eye of Winslet, whose own mother had recently passed from cancer and knew she needed to help.

Winslet called up her good friend Leo and the two were able to raise $1.35 million through his Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, which was split between the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation and Nuttall's treatment.

The extra money raised was then used by Nuttall and Winslet to fund treatment for other cancer patients.  Penelope is now three years old, in an emotional televised phone call between the two Nuttall thanked her saying, "You saved my life and I just want you know know that."
