McDonald’s just got rid of cheeseburgers and chocolate milk from their Happy Meals as they're trying to bring in more healthy options.
With child obesity being a rising epidemic in the U.S. McDonald;s plans to rejuvenate their menu by summer. Come June, their kids meals will be less than 600 calories and contain 650 milligrams of salt. Other fast food chains have been offering healthier options too.
Below are the best fast food options you can eat:
Subway
Veggie Delite sandwich with a side of apples and low-fat milk. Having a turkey breast sandwich is also good too!
Burger King
Chicken Nuggets King Jr. meal (4 pieces) even adding ketchup,, applesauce, and fat-free milk offers the lowest option in calories, saturated fat, and sugar.
Wendy’s
The Grilled Chicken Wrap has 20 grams of protein, 10 grams of fat, and is only 270 calories. Add apple slices and a bottle of water.
Taco Bell
Anything off the “power menu,” for high-protein options, and say no to rice. Also, the mini quesadilla with chicken or beef are a good choice.
