That bottle of water your chugging down right now is likely to contain tiny plastic particles.
Researchers examined 250 bottles of water bought in nine different countries and found an average of ten plastic particles per liter of water. Currently, there is no evidence that ingesting very small pieces of plastic, known as microplastics, can cause harm.
