A Canadian teen named Charlie Lagarde bought her very first lottery ticket on her 18th birthday. What she probably didn't expect is that she would win 1,000 Canadian dollars ($775 US) every week for life!
According to People, the teen told Loto Québec that she is accepting the money in a weekly payment rather than the lump sum. This way she won't be taxed on her prize!
Lagarde told Loto Québec, “I want to study photography. One of my dreams would be to work for National Geographic."
Lagarde said that her family was "euphoric" when she got home and scratched the ticket, learning she had won the grand prize.
She's set for life!
