Carrie Underwood Announces New Album Dropping In September

Calling all Country music fans. Carrie Underwood announced her brand new album, Cry Pretty, that's coming this September!

This big news comes just a few days after the recording artist made her triumphant return to the spotlight at the ACM Awards on Sunday (April 15) to debut her new single, "Cry Pretty." The public hadn't seen much of Underwood since last year. As we can recall, the star had a serious fall down some stars in her Nashville, Tennessee home and became seriously injured. She required 40 to 50 stitches in her face and she also broke one of her wrists.

At the 2018 ACM Awards, Underwood was back and better than ever when she put on one of the biggest -- if not, THE biggest -- performances of the whole night. Underwood says in her album's press release: “At this point in my career, I feel stronger and more creative than ever.  I think you can hear that in this new album.  It’s emotional, it’s soulful, it’s real, and we also have some fun on there too.  I hope everyone loves it as much as I have loved making it.”

Cry Pretty will be released on Sept. 14. Underwood also teased the project on social media. Take a look at her tweet about it below. And get ready, everyone. Carrie Underwood is back in action.
