Crowd's of people have been anxiously awaiting the royal baby. The new baby is the royal couple's third and will be grandmother Queen Elizabeth II's sixth great-grandchild, becoming the fifth in line to the throne. No name has been shared yet but we do know it's a little Prince who weighed 8lbs 7oz. More info to follow.
In a tweet delivered by Kensington Palace, they announced:
"Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101hrs.The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz.The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth.Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well."

The Royal Family tweeted out a video showing a notice placed out to announce the arrival of baby number 3!
"A notice has been placed on the forecourt of Buckingham Palace following the announcement of the birth of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's third child.@KensingtonRoyal"
