Kelly Clarkson was truly the hostess with the mostess, opening the show with an emotional call to action instead of a moment of silence in support of the victims who passed from the Texas school shooting last week. Despite the harsh opening, she eventually broke into a medley of all the big hits from this past year, including a Kendrick Lamar song! Kelly did her thing and pulled it off! Speaking of Kendrick, he along with Ed Sheeran won six awards each, both tied for the most wins!
