Check Out The New Plan The DMV Is Working On To Reduce Wait Times

posted by Ellen K -

Saturdays service at the DMV already started in June in select locations, but now the California Department of Motor Vehicles announced even more locations would be open every Saturday. The offices will be open every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Bellflower
  • Bell Gardens
  • Costa Mesa
  • Culver City
  • Fontana
  • Fullerton

The DMV is open one hour earlier at the 14 field offices. The offices open at 7 a.m. four days a week. They will continue to open at 9 a.m. on Wednesdays and close at 5 p.m. daily.

*Driver License Processing Centers only process driver license and identification card transactions.

Appointments are not available for the 7 a.m. – 8 a.m. hour. The 14 offices will open early to start serving customers in line.

Plus, there will be a TEXT NOTIFICATION for wait times with a check-in kiosk. Exciting news!

The Long Beach field office reopened on Feb. 22 after a four-month renovation project. The office received new furniture, flooring and paint, as well as updated restrooms to meet ADA standards. Staff greeted more than 580 customers on the day of the grand reopening! #cadmv #drivingca #drivingchange #grandreopening #renovations
