Ludacris' Random Act Of Kindness Brings Atlanta Woman To Tears

When Atlanta resident Therra Jaramillo needed help the most, almost on the verge of an emotional break down, a superhero showed up. This superhero didn't pull her out of a fire or rescue her from a pit of snakes, this hero simply paid for her groceries once they became mixed with his.

This hero had no idea Therra's backstory, that she had lost her husband to brain cancer in 2014 and hasn't been able to make ends meet. She looks after 4 rescue dogs, 2 rescue cats, and an elderly blind chicken. A friend had bought her a Whole Foods gift card to help out, so she was there that day simply "with a dream of hummus and fresh food" and specialized food for her dogs.

Once in the checkout line, her items got mixed in with a "handsome stranger" in line ahead of her. Therra spoke up to the cashier but that's when rapper and actor Chris "Ludacris" Bridges said he would just pay for it. Therra even tried to top the transaction at a certain point, but Ludacris said "I got this." Therra immediately was taken back and started to cry.

She compared the rapper to a modern day superhero: "I stared wide-eyed at this handsome young stranger as if he'd just dropped through the ceiling like a black James Bond, like a Batman, like the Black Panther."
