A New Dog Exhibit Is At The California Science Center!

This Saturday, March 16th, there's a new exhibit called "Dogs! A Science Tail" at the California Science Center!

It is a hands-on exhibit that focuses on the bond between humans and dogs, and allows guests to see the world from a dogs point of view! This includes how they see, hear, and smell. Experiences range from listening to hidden sounds that humans can't hear but dogs can, strolling through a neighborhood to see how pets bring strength to a community, and testing your knowledge during a game of "Jeopawdy!"

Dogs from the LAPD, Search & Rescue, and therapy dogs will also be there to demonstrate various roles they have such as agility, rescuing, and sensory and service skills. You can even bring personal stories and photos of your dog to share on a photo wall!

In addition to the exhibit, the Science Center is going to feature the documentary Superpower Dogs that lets the audience experience the bravery and life-saving superpowers of amazing dogs from around the world!

It is open to the public and tickets cost only $7.95-$9.95. Keep in mind the tickets are for humans only! The only dogs allowed in the science center are service dogs. For tickets and more info visit https://californiasciencecenter.org/.

Here is a quick breakdown of the four exhibit sections:

  1. "Tail as old as Time" - shows the evolution of the dog and has an activity for kids where they can dig for fossils and uncover bones.
  2. "Dogs & Humans Together Forever" - studies the bond between a human and dog. Interact with a virtual dog, test your knowledge in a game of "Jeopawdy", and walk through a neighborhood with a dog to see the effect they have on a community.
