ABOUT:
For over 40 years, the non-profit Westside Family Health Center has strived to provide health care to every patient that has walked through their doors. They are dedicated to providing exceptional care to the underserved and vulnerable populations of Los Angeles.
Westside Family Health Center has grown from a small clinic where the patient charts fit into one box, to a Federally Qualified Health Center and Patient Centered Medical Home/Health Home with four satellite sites, a mobile medical unit and an operating budget of $5 million.
For the past 43 years, WFHC has adhered to its mission to provide "comprehensive, high quality, cost effective health care in an educational and supportive environment that empowers patients to take an assertive role in caring for their well-being through all stages of life.''
Debra Farmer has been President and Chief Executive Officer of Westside Family Health Center (WFHC) for 18 years. During her tenure, she has overseen the expansion of primary health care services as WFHC transitioned from a small women's clinic to a Federally Qualified Health Center and a Patient Centered Health/Medical Home.
