This month, Ventura Blvd magazine took a moment to acknowledge six wonderful women that they wished to highlight. Ellen K, who has hosted the Ellen K Morning Show since 2015, was one of the featured 6.
Ventura Blvd wrote that each woman comes “from different backgrounds, and their passions span a wide spectrum. But each woman is doing what she loves and achieving personal and professional goals.”
As a woman seeking to build her career, it’s not unheard of to receive a lot of “no’s.”
“These forward thinkers and trailblazers have mastered the age of stepping over the “no” to get where they are - whether entertaining millions of fans or extending a helping hand to the homeless.”
The article goes into discussing Ellen’s 26 years on air and how she migrated from “sidekick” to the name of her own show. After spending 12 years hosting alongside Rick Dees, then another 12 with KIIS FM’s Ryan Seacrest, Ellen is nothing but thankful to have gotten a fresh opportunity.
“It is a lot more work, but I enjoy having more input,” Ellen told Ventura Blvd.
“Every day I get to decide what we are doing on the show and that feels really good.”
